Business Development, Engineering Division

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to travel throughout the State of Oklahoma daily with a focus on the Tulsa and Oklahoma City metro areas.
  • Establishes a Personal Business Development Plan annually that clearly defines quality Client contacts and Net Service Revenue sales goals such that the Team has an adequate backlog of work to meet or exceed annual goals.
  • Face-to-face business development, marketing and sales.
  • Client relationship development and maintenance.
  • Client based community involvement.
  • Client based association activities.
  • Participation in client based trade shows, conferences and special events.
  • Gains professional development and enhances the firm's image through personal leadership and membership in selected A/E/C marketing and professional organizations.
  • Performs first hand research.
  • Internal business development, marketing and sales education and training.
  • Participates in company and division planning activities.
  • Participates in developing strategies and teaming arrangements.
  • Monitors division workload and forecast.
  • Uses and promotes DELTEK CRM software.
  • Develops and coordinates selected fee proposals.
  • Promotes a business development culture within the firm.

CREDENTIALS/AFFILIATIONS 

  • Certified Business Developer or a Licensed Professional within one or more of our core service lines.
  • Education: Bachelor of Science and/or Arts from an accredited 4 year university desired.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Engineering / Construction field preferred.
  • Member of public policy and/or community service organizations.
  • Member of affiliated professional and trade associations.
  • Committee and/or leadership position in affiliated professional and trade associations.
  • Examples of associations include: SMPS, APWA, ASCE, etc.

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be proficient in the use of WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Communicates effectively.
  • Works well with people and promotes SBP initiatives within the firm.
  • Relies upon technology to bridge communication gaps created by out of office activities.
  • Relies upon experience and judgment to plan and accomplish work.
  • Performs a variety of tasks including identifying recruits and/or competitive intelligence of competing firms.
  • Works with general supervision.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Organizes activities in such a manner that maximize productivity and efficiency
